Description

CERTIFY is a research project and a software focused on the issue of fake news on social media. The research work consists of an analysis of the current actions taken by the main players (mainly Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube) to stop or slow down the circulation of fake news on their platforms, and their shortcomings. The software is a distributed framework that connects end-users, fact-checkers, media companies, and social media platforms to strengthen both news credibility and public participation. CERTIFY aims to work hand-in-hand with Swiss media companies in order to increase credibility and retrieve users’ trust in online news.
